Solana James, CKD

Solana James is an established kitchen and bath designer based in Western Massachusetts. She graduated with an Associates Degree in Interior Design in 2007, and began working for a local kitchen and bath design company (Classic Kitchens & Baths) in 2008. In 2016, she earned her Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) accreditation through the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA). Since the start of her career, she has designed hundreds of kitchens and bathrooms in a variety of styles throughout the Pioneer Valley. In 2020, she founded Solana James Design, a freelance design and consulting business specializing in kitchen and bath design, interior design, space planning and color consultations for every room, drafting services in both 2D and 3D, and cabinetry design for all areas of the home. 

Solana’s love for vintage and mid-century modern design is clearly reflected throughout her home, yet her style is always evolving. This constant evolution helps her educate her clients as to what can be possible in their homes.

When she is not designing for clients or spending time with her husband and two young children, Solana can often be found scouring local antique shops, diving into DIY projects, repurposing furniture, and generally finding any way she can to keep creating art.
